The 1961 Studebaker Hawk sold for around $2650 to $2677, a very competitive price for that year. Overall, the Studebaker-Packard
company made money but not from its automotive division losing $3.1 million for the year. The car lines actually made a profit for
the final quarter of the year and this appealed to its customer base who seemed happy with the new management style. Egbert made a push
to have new models for 1962 and even felt it necessary to have his designers come up with a brand new model line as soon as possible.
As sales of the Studebaker Lark went down, the dealers were quite happy they still had the Hawk to help out overall sales.
