Duncan McRae and his designers were led by Vince Gardner and they worked diligently to bring out an update on the Studebaker cars.
Gardner would be responsible for bringing about new front and back designs. His team replaced the Speedster with a new Hawk series for
Studebaker. It still looked related to the model it was replacing but it was different from the other Studebaker models for 1956.
The Hawk series included four models: Flight, Sky, Power, and Golden. The Golden Hawk seemed to be the model the public was most
impressed by. The hood became a little taller and the front end featured a radiator-style grill plus the two grills on either side
were carried over from the previous year.
